NEED A PARK MODEL TRAILER BEFORE WE ARE HOMELESS

Hello, if anyone can help that would be great. We have been renting an rv on family property in Lebanon, Oregon. Somehow the county found out and now we have to get hardship permits and find a park model traler to put here. They gave us 2 months to find one.We are having no luck. We are more than willing to sign a contract or make payments if someone has one they are willing to sell. All we have is 1,200 to spend on one, which is making the process even more difficult. It has to be a 1976 or newer, 320 sq. ft. or bigger (no bigger than 50ft x 12ft) and it will have to have a title. We have a 3 year old son so we really need a two room, even if the rooms aren't very big, my son still needs his own space. Especially if we are going to finally get out of this broken down rv, I want to move into something better not worse. If someone knows where to find one in our area, a used one, we cannot come close to affording a new one... Even some of the used ones in our area are like 10-12,000. My husband can fix it up if it needs work. We have been having a very hard time this winter. My husband has been working sporadically so we have been living mainly off his unemployment. So we are really praying some kind soul will help us find one. Even donations would be great to be able to buy a better one and not just end up with another dump like the one we live in. I am not ungreateful, being in this trailer did keep us from being homeless when I was pregnant, it is just falling a part and we want something a little better for my son.

Survival In The Real World

If we really think about survival, we can usually figure things out.

I think the thing is, that most people just don't look around to see what you have to bargain with. Yep. I am talking about bartering and trading. Sometimes, that is one of the easiest ways, to get things done, when there is no cash to be paid up front. Now, this method does not always work in todays world, but..there are still people and places that are more than willing to barter and trade.

I needed a mobile home moved, but not a lot of cash, to get the job done. My travel trailer was sitting there, and yes, that is where i am currenly living. The mover, whom i will not name at this point, was more than happy to make a trade on most of the moving charges. And, he is letting the travel trailer stay here, until the mobile home, is ready to move in to. The mobile home itself, was free. We just had to do some repair work on it. A lot of those materials, were donated. Other materials, we shopped around for the best bargains, and some of the materials, people had thrown away.

Now, i do not go out and buy expensive furnishings for my home. I am assuming that you probably don't either, since you are reading this. Most of mine, were donated by members of the community. Given by my sister and brother in law. And still other peices were simply thrown away. We did pick up a few peices at garage sales, and other places, but we did not pay a lot of money for them. We took our time, and looked for the peices that would work out best.

My niece, brother in law, sister, and myself, have worked on the mobile home, getting it ready to move in to. We re-floored the entire mobile home. No, we didn't rip out the floor first, we simply went right over the top of the whole thing. Added doors, since it seemed to be missing them. Patched holes. Replaced the entire bathroom floor, not much choice there. But we have done it all within a couple of months. Now, to get the electricity run over there. Again, we were running short on cash. My sister suggested selling our chickens, so we ran ads, and in the past couple of days, i have sold two hundred dollars worth of chickens and turkeys. Now, i didn't really have that many of them, but i was particular in what kind that i bought to start with. My sister made a big sale at her house also, so now, i think we have enough to get the electricity run over to the mobile home.

I will keep you updated. I do hope that this will help someone else, in deciding how to survive during hard times.

The Bible gives us instruction, to look at what we have first, before looking elsewhere.

This is the mobile home that was given to me. This picture was taken before we moved it.

I'm trying to find out if there are any assistance programs or grants to help seniors pay the monthly space rental fee in a mobile home park. Thanks JB.

I need to come up with funds to purchase a peace of property, and relocate the mobile home I have owned for less than a year.

Born again Christian,Going through a rough storm, Praying for God to step in and calm the waves, And guide me to safety!!!

I've held several good jobs, that have lasted just long enough to make me think I'm finally getting a hold on things... Then my health problems flair up, and I wind up losing what I've got built up.

I'm one of those people who has fallen between the cracks of government assistance for one reason, or another.

I own the mobile home that we need to relocate, but the owner of the park  dosen't want us in it while we try to find another place for it, and look for a place to stay.

Sorry to sound so sobb storyish. I just beleive in telling the truth, even though it seem to get me in more trouble than streching, or leaving something out of it.
